Biker Dies in Collision While Two Others Sustain Injuries in Kerry

A motorcyclist has died following a collision involving two motorcycles on the R560 road at An Clochan near Conor Pass in County Kerry. The incident occurred at approximately 16:45 on September 7, 2025, resulting in the immediate fatality of one rider, a man in his 50s. Two others, including a male motorcyclist in his 60s and a female passenger, were transported to University Hospital Kerry with non-life-threatening injuries.
The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene, prompting a significant response from emergency services. The surviving riders were treated for their injuries, with their conditions reported as stable.
The road remains closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination of the area. Authorities are keen to gather information regarding the incident and are urging any witnesses to step forward. They are particularly interested in obtaining dash-cam footage from road users who were in the vicinity between 16:30 and 17:00 on the same day.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána stated: “Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a fatal two-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred at An Clochan on the R560 An Chonair (Conor Pass), Co Kerry on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at approximately 16:45.”
