Orbitus Expands Workforce Following Launch of New HR Division

Irish legal and tax advisory firm Orbitus has announced the launch of a new premium human resources (HR) division, marking a significant expansion of its service offerings. The division, led by experienced HR specialist Jennifer O’Brien, aims to support organizations with a comprehensive range of HR services, including daily employee relations, strategic workforce planning, and organizational change management.

The newly established HR division will address various needs, from compliance with employment legislation to enhancing organizational culture. Services offered will encompass policy development, recruitment processes, employee engagement initiatives, and tailored training programs.

Orbitus, which opened its headquarters in Cork in October 2022, began operations in September 2023 with just four employees at its Tralee office. Since then, the firm has rapidly expanded, growing its team to 32 employees in a little over a year. Recruitment efforts are currently underway for an additional 15 positions across several areas, including technology, customer experience, and tax.

Plans for Future Growth

Looking ahead, Orbitus intends to more than double its workforce within the next 12 to 24 months. The company is offering opportunities in both remote and hybrid work arrangements to attract a diverse talent pool. To facilitate this growth, Orbitus has recently moved to a larger office space in Tralee, designed to accommodate its expanding team and evolving operational needs.

O’Brien noted the challenges faced by Irish employers in the current HR landscape, which include talent shortages, the rise of hybrid working models, and increasing compliance demands. She emphasized the pressure on organizations to adapt quickly and strategically to these changes.

In her statement, O’Brien underlined the potential for employers to distinguish themselves by investing in their workplace culture, leadership, and long-term workforce planning.
