Pallasgreen GAA’s Quid Game Raises €10,000 for New Stand
UPDATE: Pallasgreen GAA’s thrilling Quid Game event at Ballykisteen House Hotel last night raised an impressive €10,000 for their new field development project, which includes a new stand and walkway. Over 400 attendees witnessed a fierce competition among 30 contestants, all vying to be crowned champion in a series of challenging games inspired by the hit Netflix show.
The atmosphere was electric as participants faced off in a battle of skill and strategy, turning camaraderie into friendly rivalry. Contestants Michael Hally and Christian O’Dwyer made it to the final showdown, igniting cheers from the passionate crowd. In an exciting climax, Christian O’Dwyer emerged victorious, with his chosen charity, Milford Care Centre, receiving €7,000 and €3,000 awarded to him personally.
The evening was not only about competition; it also featured heartfelt moments, including the recognition of Colin Ryan for his recent All-Ireland Poc Fada victory. The touching presentation was made by his father and club chairman, Denis Ryan, adding a personal touch to the night’s festivities.
Pallasgreen GAA expressed immense gratitude to all those who contributed to the event’s success. Special thanks were given to the organizing committee who dedicated three months of hard work, as well as the main sponsors, Lee’s Centra and St Ailbe’s Credit Union. The event also received support from numerous sponsors, donors of raffle prizes, and attendees, all of whom played a crucial role in making the Quid Game a resounding success.
The enthusiasm and energy displayed by the contestants and the community exceeded all expectations, highlighting the power of teamwork and local spirit. As Pallasgreen GAA moves forward with its development plans, the funds raised will significantly impact the club’s future.
