Dicksboro Claims Thrilling AIB Leinster Title, Overcomes Wexford
UPDATE: Dicksboro has just secured their second-ever AIB Leinster Senior Club title, overcoming a five-point deficit to defeat Wexford champions Outlart the Ballagh with a final score of 1-17 to 1-13 on Sunday afternoon, July 15, 2023. This thrilling victory marks a significant achievement for the Kilkenny club, showcasing their resilience and determination.
The match unfolded at the picturesque venue, where excitement filled the air as supporters from both teams anticipated a fiercely contested final. The game did not disappoint, with both squads leveling the score multiple times, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
A pivotal moment arose when Dicksboro’s goalkeeper, Cara Duggan, made a stunning save, diving low to thwart a penalty from Una Lacey.
