Cartoon Saloon Unveils Charity Christmas Card for Cois Nore
Internationally-renowned animation studio, Cartoon Saloon, has designed a special Christmas card to support the Cois Nore Community Cancer Support Centre. The card showcases the centre’s soon-to-be new home on Waterford Road in Kilkenny and aims to spread festive cheer while raising funds for vital cancer support services.
The card, titled Nollaig Shona, features a whimsical winter scene that encapsulates the warmth and joy of the holiday season. It serves not only as a festive greeting but also as a celebration of the community’s strength and compassion, aligning with Cois Nore’s mission to provide support to individuals and families affected by cancer.
Supporting Local Cancer Services
Available for purchase in retail outlets and pharmacies throughout Kilkenny, proceeds from the card will directly benefit Cois Nore’s essential services. These services include professional counselling, hands-on therapies, support groups, and children’s services, all aimed at helping those in need across County Kilkenny.
A spokesperson for Cartoon Saloon expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration. “We are happy to be working with Cois Nore again and supporting the work they do in the community. We know that this year has been significant for them as they refurbish their new home for Kilkenny cancer support services. It’s great to know that from next year, more people in Kilkenny who are living with cancer can benefit from the important supports they provide,” they stated.
A Unique Contribution to the Community
Mary Dolan, manager of Cois Nore, emphasized the importance of this partnership. “We are delighted to be working with Cartoon Saloon again on a fabulous new Christmas card. The unique card is 100% Kilkenny, having been designed and printed here, and the funds raised will directly benefit the people of Kilkenny and the surrounding areas. The card features our new home in the background, which will be a familiar sight to those coming and going from the city along the Waterford Road. Cartoon Saloon has been incredibly supportive of our work over the years, and we truly appreciate their time and skills in creating this beautiful card for us.”
Cois Nore encourages the public to support their mission this Christmas by purchasing a card that not only brings festive cheer but also sustains free, local cancer support services.
