Penneys Launches Affordable Puffball Dress for Festival Season

Penneys has introduced a new puffball dress priced at just €18, capturing the attention of fashion enthusiasts ahead of the autumn festival season. The brown Hybrid Puffball Mini Dress is designed to be versatile and stylish, making it an ideal choice for both casual outings and special events.
The dress, available in sizes ranging from XXS to XXL, features a fitted bodice and a voluminous balloon skirt. Its short sleeves and classic crew neckline contribute to a simple yet elegant look, while the gathered hem adds a dramatic flair. Penneys describes the piece as embodying “throw-on-and-wow” energy, perfect for those looking to make a statement without extensive styling.
A Trendy Addition to Your Wardrobe
Penneys emphasizes that the dress can be easily styled for various occasions. Pair it with boots, a leather jacket, and a cowboy hat for a complete festival-ready outfit. The brand notes that the deep solid shade of the dress allows it to transition seamlessly from day to night, catering to a wide range of fashion preferences.
In addition to the puffball dress, fashion fans are also raving about the Savida Leopard Jacket available at Dunnes Stores. Priced at €40 and sold out in all sizes online, this oversized jacket features a relaxed fit, large pockets, and a statement collar. Influencer Helena, who shares her style tips on Instagram under the handle @superbetty79, highlighted its versatility, showcasing how it pairs well with various outfits.
Dunnes Stores describes the jacket as a “trend-forward outer layer choice,” suitable for layering over anything from jeans to dresses. This popularity is underscored by comparisons to a similar Ganni leopard print jacket, which retails for €345.
The Legacy of Penneys and Primark
Penneys, known as Primark outside of Ireland, has a rich history that dates back to its first store opening on Mary Street in Dublin in 1969. The brainchild of businessman Garfield Weston, the brand was brought to life by Dubliner Arthur Ryan. Penneys expanded into the UK in 1973 with its first store in Derby.
Due to trademark issues, the name Penneys could not be used in Britain, leading to the adoption of Primark for its international operations. The brand has since grown to include 191 Primark locations in the UK, and its expansion into Europe began in 2006 with openings in Spain and several other countries.
In September 2015, Primark made its debut in the United States with a store in Boston, and it now operates 27 locations across the country, including Florida and New Jersey. The retailer’s largest store, spanning five floors, opened in Birmingham in 2019 and features Primark’s largest beauty studio to date, along with a barbershop and three restaurants.
As fashion trends continue to evolve, Penneys and Dunnes Stores remain at the forefront, offering stylish and affordable options for consumers looking to refresh their wardrobes. With the introduction of the Hybrid Puffball Mini Dress and the Savida Leopard Jacket, both brands are poised to capture the interest of shoppers this autumn.
