Political Reactions and Calls for Amendment

The proposed bill has also drawn fierce criticism from opposition politicians. Independent Ireland leader Michael Collins described it as “shocking and sinister,” suggesting it aims to undermine journalistic privilege and could pave the way for authoritarian practices.
