An Grianan Theatre Closes Tomorrow for Major Renovations
URGENT UPDATE: The An Grianan Theatre in Letterkenny will close starting tomorrow for a significant renovation project expected to last over a month. This exciting development aims to enhance the theatre experience with a new studio space for performances, workshops, and rehearsals, set to be located in the upper foyer.
According to the Department of Culture, Communications & Sport, funding for this initiative has been secured to improve accessibility and user experience. The redesign of the box office will also make it more user-friendly for patrons.
During this renovation period, in-person bookings will be unavailable; however, the theatre encourages audiences to continue booking online for future shows. Staff will remain accessible via email and phone to address any queries or handle bookings throughout the closure.
The theatre’s team will pause operations for the Christmas Holidays from December 19, 2023, until January 4, 2024. They will resume answering emails and phone queries after this break.
The An Grianan Theatre is scheduled to reopen by the end of January, just in time for the much-anticipated Letterkenny Trad Week. This strategic renovation aims to not only modernize the facility but also to enrich the cultural landscape of the region, offering an improved venue for local talent and audiences alike.
Stay tuned for more updates as the renovation progresses, and don’t miss your chance to book tickets for upcoming events!
