Burnfoot’s Chloe Hargan Becomes Donegal’s Newest Solicitor
UPDATE: Chloe Hargan, a 26-year-old from Burnfoot, has officially been introduced as Donegal’s newest solicitor at a ceremony held in Buncrana District Court earlier today. Hargan’s introduction by her colleague Ciaran MacLochlainn to Judge Emile Daly marks a significant milestone in her burgeoning legal career.
As a past pupil of St Aengus National School and Crana College, Hargan has deep roots in the Inishowen community. She advanced her education at Atlantic Technical University in Letterkenny before embarking on her path as a legal trainee at CS Kelly and Co Solicitors. MacLochlainn praised Hargan’s dedication, noting her successful completion of the FE-1 law examinations and her professional training at the Law Society in Blackhall Place, which she began in December 2022.
Hargan’s appointment comes after the passing of the esteemed solicitor Joe Davies earlier this year. MacLochlainn expressed confidence in Hargan’s capabilities, stating, “She’s a hard-working young lady and I’m delighted that she is working with us.”
Inishowen Garda Inspector Sean McDaid also extended his best wishes, humorously adding, “Hopefully we’ll be on the winning side more often than you!” Judge Daly congratulated Hargan, stating, “It’s a proud day for you and a proud day for your family.”
Hargan, visibly moved by the support, expressed her gratitude: “It’s an honour to be introduced. I’d like to thank CS Kelly & Co Solicitors, especially Mr Ciaran MacLochlainn, for the opportunity to work locally in the community where I’m from here in Inishowen.”
This introduction not only highlights Hargan’s personal achievements but also signifies a fresh chapter in the local legal landscape, promising a dedicated professional who is deeply committed to her community. As she embarks on her new career, Hargan represents a bright future for the legal profession in Donegal.
Stay tuned for more updates on her journey and contributions to the legal community in Inishowen.
