DLDC Urgently Seeks Applications for 4 Community Officer Roles
URGENT UPDATE: Donegal Local Development CLG (DLDC) is actively recruiting for four critical community officer positions, with applications due by 5 PM on January 16, 2026. This announcement comes as the organization continues to expand its support for disadvantaged communities in the Donegal catchment area through the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP).
The roles available include:
– **Community Development Project Officer (Gaeltacht & Donegal Town)**: This position is vital for empowering disadvantaged communities. The officer will engage directly with community groups, providing essential advice, guidance, and training workshops. Candidates must possess a relevant Third Level qualification and/or three years of experience in community development.
– **Employment Support Officer (Donegal Town)**: Focused on Goal 2 of SICAP, this role aims to assist individuals facing barriers to employment. The officer will be instrumental in providing support to socially excluded individuals, requiring similar qualifications and experience as the Community Development role.
– **Lifelong Learning Project Officer (Donegal Town)**: This position will emphasize lifelong learning initiatives, helping individuals enhance their skills and confidence. Applicants should have a Third Level qualification and/or three years of relevant experience in adult training.
These positions not only offer a chance to make a significant impact in the community but also require a commitment to principles of equality and social inclusion.
To apply, interested candidates should email a Letter of Application and a current Curriculum Vitae to the HR Department at [email protected]. It’s crucial to clearly indicate which position you are applying for, along with your transport availability.
IMPORTANT: Applications must be submitted by 5 PM on January 16, 2026, and interviews are expected to occur during the week of January 26, 2026. Job descriptions are accessible via the DLDC website or by contacting the HR Department directly.
DLDC is committed to a policy of equal opportunity, and canvassing will disqualify candidates from consideration. This recruitment drive is a crucial step in enhancing the support network for vulnerable populations in Donegal, underlining the urgency of this opportunity for potential applicants.
Stay tuned for more updates as DLDC continues to shape the future of community development in Donegal. Share this news to help spread the word about these impactful job opportunities!
