UPDATE: Limerick-born model and influencer Shauna Lindsay has revealed she suffered a stroke at just 30 years old and discovered a hole in her heart after a series of distressing events. Sharing her shocking experience with over 76,000 followers on Instagram, Shauna’s candid video has captured widespread attention and concern.

In a heartfelt message, Shauna stated, “I need to talk about what the f**k is going on with me.” She expressed that overwhelming personal challenges led to this health crisis, saying, “Everything’s obviously come to a head because what happened was I had a stroke.”

Just before the summer, Shauna experienced what she called “the most traumatic breakup” of her life, compounding her stress. “It’s just been so much,” she admitted, adding that this ongoing personal turmoil has taken an emotional toll.

As if that wasn’t enough, her situation worsened during a recent trip when she discovered her mother has cancer. “Finding that out has obviously been so f*****g tough,” she revealed, choking back tears. Shauna emphasized the importance of her mother, stating, “She is my everything, my best friend.”

On August 2023, while attending a boxing class, Shauna felt a sudden numbness in her arm after throwing punches. “I thought I dislocated my arm,” she recalled. Realizing she was not okay, she texted a friend for help. The friend rushed her to the hospital, where her condition escalated. “By the time I got to the hospital, I had made a full recovery but was admitted for eight days for tests,” she explained.

Doctors discovered that Shauna has a hole in her heart, which will require surgical intervention. This revelation adds another layer of complexity, as she noted that her mother also has the same condition, and her grandmother had suffered a stroke.

As of now, Shauna is grateful for the support she received during her hospital stay, thanking those who reached out to her on social media. “I genuinely feel so lucky that I’m OK,” she said, reflecting on her time in the ward filled with stroke patients.

Her emotional story has resonated with many, garnering thousands of likes and supportive comments from friends and followers. One message read, “I can’t believe how strong you’ve been. You’re both gonna get through this and appreciate every moment in life together.”

As she navigates this challenging chapter, Shauna’s experience highlights the importance of mental and physical health, especially during times of crisis. Followers are encouraged to keep her and her family in their thoughts as they face these hurdles together.
