Tragic Accident: Man in 30s Dies After Bus Collision on N7
URGENT UPDATE: A man in his 30s has tragically died after being struck by a bus on the N7 motorway this afternoon. The fatal incident occurred around 3:30 PM near Kill, Co. Kildare, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
The pedestrian was quickly transported to Tallaght University Hospital with severe injuries but unfortunately succumbed shortly after arrival. Authorities are now investigating the circumstances surrounding this devastating crash.
The driver of the bus, also a man in his 30s, emerged uninjured, while two passengers received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. In light of the incident, the N7 motorway has been closed in both directions for a thorough examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The road will remain shut overnight, with diversions established for motorists.
In a statement, gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They particularly seek any road users who may have dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the collision.
“Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward,”
said a spokesperson.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time of the collision are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.”
