URGENT UPDATE: Gardai have launched a critical appeal for witnesses following a shocking shooting incident at a home in Castleconnell, Limerick, over the weekend. The incident occurred on Saturday, at approximately 5:40 PM, leaving residents alarmed and seeking answers.
A garda spokesperson confirmed that a firearm was discharged at a domestic premises, causing damage but, fortunately, no injuries have been reported. This alarming attack marks a disturbing trend, as it follows a second shooting in the same village within just 24 hours.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, particularly those who may have seen a black car in the Scanlon Park area between 5:30 PM and 5:50 PM. The local community is being asked to assist in the investigation by providing any relevant details.
“We encourage road users with dash-cam footage from that time to share it with us,” the spokesperson stated. This appeal aims to piece together crucial information that could lead to identifying those responsible.
