Urgent: Man Dies After Being Struck by Bus on N7 Motorway
UPDATE: A man has tragically died after being struck by a bus on the N7 motorway in Co. Kildare this afternoon. The incident, which occurred around 3:30 PM on November 1, 2025, has prompted an urgent appeal from Gardaí for witnesses.
Authorities confirm that the pedestrian, a man in his 30s, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Tallaght University Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries later that evening. The bus driver, also a man in his 30s, was unharmed, while two passengers aboard the bus suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision took place between junction 8 and junction 7 eastbound on the N7 motorway at Kill. As investigators work to uncover the details surrounding this tragic event, the N7 remains closed overnight for a thorough examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are currently in place.
Gardaí are urgently appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the collision to come forward. A Garda spokesperson stated, “
