Urgent Update: Child Injured, Five Hospitalized in Co Antrim Crash
BREAKING NEWS: A child has suffered serious injuries as five individuals were rushed to the hospital following a devastating two-vehicle collision in Co Antrim. The incident occurred on the Old Ballynahinch Road, near Saintfield, at approximately 5:00 PM on November 22, 2025.
Emergency services, including the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, quickly responded to the scene after the crash was reported. The collision involved two vehicles and resulted in multiple injuries.
According to an NIAS spokesperson, five individuals—a man, two women, and two children—were transported to local hospitals. Three victims were taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, while the remaining two children were sent to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. The conditions of the two women and one child are described as “serious,” highlighting the gravity of the situation.
The PSNI confirmed that the Old Ballynahinch Road was temporarily closed due to the collision but has since reopened for traffic. An investigation is currently underway, and authorities are appealing to the public for assistance. PSNI Sergeant Campbell urged anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage from the area between 4:45 PM and 5:30 PM to come forward.
