Urgent Update: Man in Dungiven Dies After Hit-and-Run Incident
UPDATE: A man in his 60s has tragically died following a serious injury in a suspected hit-and-run incident in Dungiven early this morning. Police received the alarming report around 1:35 AM on November 2, 2025, and rushed to the Foreglen Road area, where they discovered the injured man.
Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to the hospital, authorities report that the man succumbed to his injuries. Detective Inspector Gillian Connolly confirmed the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, emphasizing the possibility of a hit-and-run collision.
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances, and at this time, we believe that he may have been injured in a hit and run road traffic collision,” Connolly stated.
