Woman in Her 80s Dies in Early Morning Crash in Tipperary
A woman in her 80s has died following a single-vehicle crash in Tipperary during the early hours of November 9, 2023. The incident took place in Toomevara, Nenagh, between midnight and 02:20. Emergency services pronounced the woman deceased at the scene.
According to a spokesperson for Garda Síochána, the woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Following the tragic event, the Coroner was notified, and her body was transported to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination, which will occur in due course.
Investigation Underway
The crash site remains closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination of the area. Traffic diversions are currently in place to manage the flow of vehicles around the scene.
In light of the investigation, Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are particularly interested in hearing from any road users who may have been in the area and possess dash-cam footage taken between midnight and 02:30.
