The ANA Group, a major player in the Japanese aviation sector, has achieved the prestigious 5-Star rating from SKYTRAX for the 13th consecutive year. This recognition, first awarded in 2013, underscores the airline’s unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality service across all customer interactions, from airport facilities to in-flight experiences.

With this accolade, ANA Group remains among only 11 airlines globally and stands as the sole Japanese carrier to sustain a benchmark of service excellence for over a decade. The World Airline Star Rating, issued by the London-based airline rating organization SKYTRAX, results from a rigorous evaluation of quality standards for both in-flight and airport services. This achievement reflects ANA Group’s commitment to offering world-class service without compromise, even in a rapidly changing aviation landscape.

Commitment to Excellence

The recognition is a testament to ANA Group’s focus on passenger safety and trust. “Receiving the SKYTRAX 5-Star rating for the 13th consecutive year is an honour,” said Shinichi Inoue, President and CEO of ANA Group. “This achievement results directly from the hard work and dedication of every employee, whose efforts ensure world-class experiences. We will continue to build upon this recognition, further elevating our service standards and setting benchmarks for the global airline industry.”

According to Edward Plaisted, CEO of SKYTRAX, this award confirms ANA Group’s consistent focus on delivering a high-quality passenger experience. He noted, “This highest 5-Star Airline Rating confirms that ANA Group continues to excel in key areas such as cabin comfort, onboard catering, and excellent staff service standards across the flight experience and at the airport.”

Evaluation Highlights

The audit conducted by SKYTRAX identified several key areas in which ANA Group shines. Notably, pristine cabin and lounge environments reflect sophisticated Japanese aesthetics, creating a genuinely elevated premium passenger experience.

In terms of in-flight offerings, ANA Group was praised for its exceptional dining options, which feature carefully curated Japanese cuisine and premium sake. The airline’s long-haul B777-300ER First Class service, named “THE Suite,” along with its Business Class offering, “THE Room,” received accolades for delivering industry-leading comfort and privacy standards.

Furthermore, the airline’s commitment to world-class service is embodied in the concept of Omotenashi, which translates to a unique form of Japanese hospitality characterized by meticulous attention to detail. Feedback highlighted the consistently high service quality provided by staff throughout all touchpoints, including lounges, airports, and onboard.

Founded in 1989, SKYTRAX is a renowned air transport rating organization that evaluates airlines based on independent customer satisfaction surveys. In addition to the World Airline Star Rating, SKYTRAX also hosts the annual World Airline Awards, recognizing airlines globally.

As ANA Group continues to set high standards in the aviation industry, this latest recognition serves as both an affirmation of its efforts and a challenge to maintain and elevate its service in the years to come.
