RTÉ Unveils Exciting New Season: Ryanair Docs, Rosie O’Donnell, and More!

BREAKING: RTÉ has just announced a thrilling lineup for its Autumn to Spring season, featuring a two-part documentary on Ryanair and a special appearance by comedian Rosie O’Donnell. This season promises to deliver captivating stories and entertainment that viewers won’t want to miss.

The highly anticipated The Traitors Ireland will premiere on Sunday, August 31, hosted by Siobhan McSweeney. Filmed in the stunning Slane Castle, contestants will compete for a grand prize of €50,000. This exciting series will air on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, complemented by The Traitors Ireland Uncloaked, which will provide in-depth analysis post-show.

Meanwhile, fans can look forward to the adaptation of Marian Keyes’ popular novels in The Walsh Sisters, which chronicles the lives of five sisters navigating their late 20s and 30s in Dublin.

RTÉ will also showcase a variety of returning property shows, including Room to Improve and DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland, alongside the return of fan favorites First Dates and Ireland’s Fittest Family, featuring new coaching talent.

On the documentary front, The Ryanair Story will delve into the airline’s remarkable 40-year journey, while Rory: How The Masters Was Won will celebrate Rory McIlroy’s long-awaited victory at the 2025 US Masters. Additionally, the series Meat Loaf: Rock Bottom in Ireland will revisit the singer’s iconic performances in 1990.

RTÉ is set to cover the Women’s Rugby World Cup, kicking off with Ireland facing Japan on Sunday, and will also host extensive coverage of the upcoming Irish Presidential Election. Viewers can expect in-depth interviews and discussions from Katie Hannon, who will present a new series alongside her show The Records Show.

For children, the beloved Puffin Rock series returns, featuring a new movie, Puffin Rock and the New Friends, along with a special appearance from O’Donnell in Dizzy Deliveries.
