Conor Kelly, fresh off a gold medal victory at the European U20 Championships in Finland, clocked in at a remarkable 45.83 seconds, setting a new Irish U20 record. This talented athlete is also pursuing an athletics scholarship at the University of Texas at Austin, furthering his commitment to the sport.

In other news, club member Jon Jo Doherty recently completed the Mid Cheshire 5k in an impressive 14:52, while Sarah Bradley participated in the Charlotte Opener in the United States, representing Queen’s University of Charlotte.

The club is set to host primary and secondary schools’ cross-country events on September 16 and 17, expecting around 1,000 children to participate. The annual open Champions Cup Cross Country event is also scheduled for September 21, offering athletes a fantastic opportunity to kick off their season.
