Irish Olympian Greg O’Shea Announces Dual Wedding Plans with Jeanni
BREAKING: Irish Olympian and Love Island winner Greg O’Shea has just announced exciting details about his upcoming wedding to fiancée Jeanni Mulder, set to take place next month. The couple is planning two ceremonies to accommodate family, with an intimate gathering in Dublin and another celebration in South Africa.
In a candid interview with RSVP Live, O’Shea revealed that the decision for dual ceremonies came after considering the logistics of a traditional large wedding. “We were tossing and turning between doing a big massive wedding that everyone does,” O’Shea explained. However, the couple realized that Jeanni’s family is primarily based in South Africa, making travel difficult for many of their loved ones.
The couple’s wedding plans reflect their desire for a more personal experience. Instead of a grand celebration, they have chosen to host smaller, more intimate events. O’Shea emphasized the importance of family attendance, stating, “If there are 200 people there, you are not getting time with everyone as bride and groom. This will be the first celebration of my immediate family and her immediate family in one space.”
In an effort to allocate their budget wisely, they are prioritizing their honeymoon over a lavish one-night celebration. “We decided to spend our money on our honeymoon rather than one night of celebrations,” O’Shea said. “That isn’t normal; it is quite unorthodox to do that. We want to treat ourselves for a long period of enjoyment. It was a big decision.”
Jeanni has also offered a glimpse into her wedding attire, noting that her dress will reflect her personal style and not conform to traditional bridal norms. Calling her dress shopping experience a “family affair,” she shared that she was joined by her mother, O’Shea’s mother, and his sisters to find the perfect gown.
As for O’Shea’s attire, he plans to don a classic black tuxedo paired with a crisp white shirt, aiming for a sophisticated look on their special day. However, the couple faces an urgent challenge: securing a travel visa for Jeanni’s mother, which is currently pending approval. This delay comes after new regulations were implemented in Ireland requiring visas for travelers from South Africa.
As the wedding date approaches, the couple’s excitement builds, underscoring the significance of their upcoming union. With their focus on family and personal connections, O’Shea and Mulder are set to redefine what a wedding celebration can look like.
Stay tuned for more updates as the couple prepares for their dual celebrations next month.
