Limerick Shop Owner Thrilled After €1 Million Lotto Win

UPDATE: An exhilarating Lotto win of over €1 million has sent shockwaves through the small town of Cappamore, Ireland, after a ticket was sold at a local Centra store last night. The store owner, Mark Lenihan, expressed his joy, stating it’s “just incredible” to have sold such a life-changing ticket during the special Lotto Plus raffle on October 14, 2023.
Residents are buzzing with excitement this morning as news broke that the lucky ticket, worth €1,000,500, was sold in Moore Street. This unique Lotto Plus Raffle offered one ticket a staggering additional prize of €1 million, a remarkable twist on the usual €500 prizes awarded to between 60 and 120 players per draw.
Lenihan expressed his delight, saying, “We’re absolutely delighted – this is huge for us, for the team, and for Cappamore! It’s our first ever big National Lottery win, and to think that a life-changing ticket was sold right here in our store is just incredible. Massive congratulations to the winner – we’re thrilled for you and wish you all the very best!”
Players are urged to check their tickets immediately after the draw. Those holding the winning ticket can contact the National Lottery claims team at 1800 666 222 or via email at [email protected] to arrange prize collection. Winners must claim their prizes within 90 days if purchased in-store.
In total, over 79,000 players in Ireland won various prizes during Saturday’s Lotto and Lotto Plus draws. The main Lotto jackpot, worth an astounding €2,716,556, remains unclaimed. However, one player came remarkably close, winning the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €404,840 after missing out on the jackpot by just one number.
For those interested in the Lotto Plus 1 draw, the winning numbers were 18, 29, 31, 33, 35, 42 with the bonus 08. Although the jackpot went unclaimed, 20 players successfully matched five numbers, each winning €500. In the Lotto Plus 2 draw, the numbers were 03, 26, 32, 33, 35, 38 with the bonus 12. No one matched all six numbers to win the €250,000 jackpot, but 15 players pocketed €250 each for matching five.
This event marks a significant moment for the Cappamore community, as they celebrate their first major National Lottery win. Enthusiastic locals are eager to see who the new millionaire is, and many are hopeful for their own luck in future draws.
Stay tuned for more updates as the winner steps forward to claim their life-changing prize. This incredible Lotto event is a reminder of the thrilling possibilities that come with each draw, igniting dreams of fortune across Ireland.
