UPDATE: A tragic motorcycle crash in Kerry has resulted in the death of a man in his 50s, following a collision involving two motorcycles. The incident occurred at An Clochan on the R560 at Conor Pass at approximately 4:45 PM on September 7, 2025.

The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene, while another male motorcyclist, aged in his 60s, along with a female passenger, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to University Hospital Kerry for treatment.

The road remains closed as authorities conduct a thorough technical examination with the assistance of Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. In a statement, Garda officials are urgently appealing for witnesses to come forward. They particularly seek any road users who might have camera footage from the area between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM this afternoon.

“Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a fatal two-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred at An Clochan on the R560 An Chonair (Conor Pass), Co Kerry,” stated a Garda spokesperson.
