The toy in question, a Crab Shaped Toy, poses a significant risk as small parts may detach and become accessible, creating a choking hazard for young children. Authorities have confirmed that there are approximately 73 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
A spokesperson for the CCPC stated,
“The risk reported to the CCPC is of choking. Small parts can detach from the toy and become accessible, which could pose a risk of choking if ingested.”
The product’s SKC number is sl2410073431734267, and the manufacturer is Shantou Chenghai Chengyi Toy Factory.
Parents are urged to stop using the toy immediately and to ensure it is kept out of reach of children. Those who purchased this toy should discard it right away to prevent any potential accidents.
