Pallasgreen GAA Launches Urgent Fundraiser: Quid Game Event Set for Oct 26

URGENT UPDATE: Pallasgreen GAA is set to launch its highly anticipated Quid Game fundraiser on Sunday, October 26, 2023, at Ballykisteen Hotel. This exciting event aims to raise crucial funds for the club’s extensive field development project, including the construction of new facilities for players and supporters.
The Quid Game, inspired by the viral Netflix series, features 29 contestants competing in a series of challenging skills-based tests. Each participant has a sponsorship target of €2,000, and among them is local councillor Noreen Stokes. Contestants will face elimination-style challenges in pursuit of not just personal glory, but also the chance to win a cash prize for a charity of their choice.
The fundraiser was officially launched at Powers Bar to a lively crowd, setting an energetic tone for this community-driven initiative. A spokesperson for the organizing committee stated, “This event is a vital step in improving facilities for our players and supporters, and it will play a key role in making our vision a reality.”
Anticipation is building as the community rallies behind the Quid Game. Organizers have promised mini-challenges leading up to the main event, encouraging everyone to engage and support local talent. The launch event showcased teasers of the challenges to come, sparking excitement and engagement from attendees.
The Pallasgreen GAA Quid Game is not just an opportunity for fun; it is a critical fundraiser aimed at enhancing the community’s sports facilities. The club’s ongoing field development project was first announced earlier this year, highlighting the urgent need for improved amenities.
For those interested in following the journey of the contestants and the various challenges, updates will be posted on Pallasgreen GAA’s Facebook page.
This event follows a successful Quid Game hosted by Glenroe GAA Club in June, which raised significant funds for their development plans. The success of that event has set a promising precedent for Pallasgreen GAA, showcasing the community’s willingness to support local sports.
Mark your calendars for October 26 and prepare for an exhilarating day filled with competition, community spirit, and the chance to contribute to a worthy cause. Stay tuned for more updates and show your support for Pallasgreen GAA!
