Breaking: Man Arrested in Limerick Murder Case from 2010

URGENT UPDATE: In a significant breakthrough, Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the murder of Lee Slattery, whose body was discovered in Moyross, Limerick, back in May 2010. The arrest took place on Tuesday as part of ongoing investigations into this cold case, highlighting renewed efforts to bring justice after 15 years.
This latest development comes after another individual, a woman in her 50s, was detained on Monday but has since been released without charge. The male suspect is currently being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a local Garda station, marking a critical step in the investigation.
Authorities report that a total of 31 arrests have now been made in relation to this case, with five individuals still in custody. The Gardaí are actively building a case, and a file will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions shortly.
The investigation into Slattery’s murder has been ongoing, with Gardaí urging anyone with information to come forward. They can be contacted at the incident room in Mayorstone Park Garda Station at 061 456 980 or through the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.
As the case progresses, the community remains hopeful for justice and closure for Slattery’s family. The investigation not only reflects the commitment of law enforcement to solving cold cases but also emphasizes the importance of public involvement in bringing about resolution.
