John King Calls Trump’s Attack on Kimmel a Threat to Free Speech

John King, CNN’s Chief National Correspondent, has condemned former President Donald Trump‘s recent criticism of television host Jimmy Kimmel as a serious threat to free speech in the United States. Kimmel was suspended indefinitely from his position at ABC following remarks he made regarding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. During a widely viewed monologue, Kimmel denounced what he termed the “Maga gang” for attempting to portray the individual responsible for Kirk’s death as anything other than a member of their ranks.

In his comments, Kimmel accused conservatives of exploiting Kirk’s death for political advantage.
