Cian Ducrot Urges Men to Prioritize Mental Health Amid Tour

URGENT UPDATE: Cian Ducrot, the rising superstar from Cork, has made a powerful appeal for men’s mental health just as he embarks on his European Tour. Speaking out today, Ducrot emphasizes the critical need for open conversations among men, stating that “talking to your friends is probably the hardest thing to do.”
This announcement coincides with the release of a new report from the men’s health charity Movember, titled ‘The Real Face of Men’s Health’. The report reveals alarming statistics showing that men account for nearly 80% of suicides in Ireland, highlighting an urgent public health crisis that demands attention.
In an emotional interview with the Irish Independent and a candid post on Instagram, Ducrot reflected on his personal loss, revealing he has lost two friends to suicide. “It’s hard to talk to people around you. It’s hard to open up. It’s hard to feel like you’re just going to burden someone’s day or life,” he shared, resonating with countless men facing similar struggles.
Despite his immense popularity—boasting over 4.5 million followers on TikTok and more than 1 million on Instagram—Ducrot advises against the use of social media for mental health reasons. “To be honest, my biggest piece of advice would be to not have social media. For me, it’s impossible, simply because of my career,” he stated.
Movember, a global initiative focused on men’s health awareness, will once again kick off on November 1. Participants are encouraged to grow moustaches, walk or run 60 kilometers, and host events to raise funds for critical men’s health programs. The charity has committed to investing €1 million into community health research starting in 2026, alongside a €200,000 investment in awareness campaigns.
As Ducrot continues to tour and promote his recent album, ‘Little Dreaming’, he urges men everywhere to prioritize their mental health and reach out for help. The call to action is clear: lifting the stigma around mental health and fostering open dialogue among men is essential for change.
Expect growing discussions around men’s mental health as Movember approaches. Ducrot’s heartfelt message is not just a personal narrative; it’s a clarion call for men to seek support and break the silence surrounding mental health challenges.
