On July 15, 2023, during his final day in Dublin, Deano visited O’Shea’s Merchants after spotting a sign advertising their acclaimed traditional fry-up. Priced at €13.50, the breakfast included handmade Kerry sausages, thick-cut bacon, baked mushrooms, Annascaul black and white pudding, salted tomatoes, fried eggs, toast, and a cup of tea.

Deano expressed his astonishment, noting, “What stands out to me the most is there’s no beans on it.” He revealed that while beans could be added for an extra €3, he decided against it, especially after enjoying a full Irish breakfast at Wetherspoons for only €4.95 the previous day.

When his meal arrived, Deano commented that it “looked strange” without beans and described it as “basic.” But after tasting the sausage, he exclaimed, “Oh my days, let me tell you… this looks basic but the flavour of the sausages is absolutely insane!” He continued to rave about the meal, noting the rich flavor of the sausage and deliciously thick bacon, stating, “Oh my God. That is absolutely delicious.”

O’Shea’s Merchants serves breakfast only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but Deano assured viewers that it was well worth the wait.
