Second Fatality Confirmed in Co Down Road Collision

A second man has died following a serious traffic collision in County Down, Northern Ireland. Caoimhin Teggart, aged 28, passed away in hospital from injuries sustained in the accident, which occurred on September 15, 2023.

The two-vehicle crash involved a silver Volkswagen Bora and a grey Toyota Avensis on the Ballydugan Road in Downpatrick. Mr. Teggart was from the Kilkeel area. His death was confirmed on the evening of September 22, just days after the collision.

Another victim, Ryan Cunningham, aged 21, also lost his life as a result of the accident. The police have stated that their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.

Authorities are appealing for information and have requested that anyone with relevant details or dash-cam footage contact them by calling 101 and quoting reference number 760 15/09/25.
