BREAKING: Colin Farrell has just revealed that he has “no burning desire” to reprise his role as The Penguin in the Batman franchise. The 49-year-old actor, known for his portrayal of the iconic villain in The Batman (2022) and the upcoming TV series The Penguin, made this announcement during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

In a surprising twist for fans, Farrell disclosed he will only appear in a limited capacity in the much-anticipated sequel, Batman Part II, set to hit theaters in 2027. He stated, “I do have a few scenes in the new Batman sequel, which I am okay with. I had the script a few months ago, and it is extraordinary.”

Farrell’s comments come as a disappointment to many who were hoping for a more significant presence of The Penguin in the franchise’s future. He described his experience in the Batman universe as “amazing,” but emphasized that he is ready to move on to other projects.

In addition to his Batman involvement, Farrell is currently promoting his latest film, Ballad Of A Small Player, where he portrays a con-man struggling with addiction. He explained, “It is a jolly tale of addiction and desperation, and looking in all the wrong places for a sense of who you are.”

On the same episode, actress Julia Roberts hinted at the development of Ocean’s Fourteen, the long-awaited sequel to Ocean’s Thirteen. Her co-star, George Clooney, confirmed in a recent interview that filming could commence as early as 2026, stating, “We just got the budget approved at Warner Bros. and we’re trying to set up.”

As fans eagerly await new updates from the Batman franchise and the Ocean’s series, Farrell’s lack of enthusiasm for returning as The Penguin highlights the shifting dynamics within Hollywood’s superhero genre.

Stay tuned for further developments regarding Colin Farrell’s role and the future of the Batman franchise as more news unfolds.
