Former US President Joe Biden has commenced a new phase of treatment for his prostate cancer, which has metastasized to his bones. The nearly 83-year-old disclosed his diagnosis in May 2023, indicating that the cancer is an aggressive form but hormone-sensitive, allowing for effective management. As part of his current treatment plan, Biden is undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment, which is expected to last for five weeks.

This new phase includes radiation therapy, marking a shift in his treatment regimen. A spokesperson confirmed that the radiation therapy is a new element in his ongoing battle against cancer. Biden remains optimistic about his condition, stating he is “doing well” as he navigates this challenging period.

In addition to his cancer treatment, Biden recently underwent a procedure called Mohs surgery for skin cancer, which involves removing thin layers of skin until no signs of cancer remain. Upon publicly sharing his diagnosis, he emphasized, “Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”

The health of the current US President has been a topic of discussion as well. In contrast to Biden’s ongoing health challenges, former President Donald Trump recently received a clean bill of health. Trump underwent a physical examination at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. His physician, Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, reported that Trump exhibits “excellent overall health.”

Barbabella’s letter noted that Trump’s cardiac age is approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age, as determined through an ECG. The report also mentioned that Trump maintains a demanding daily schedule without restrictions. He received an updated COVID-19 booster shot alongside his annual flu vaccination during the examination.

As both former leaders address their respective health concerns, public interest remains high, with many hoping for positive outcomes for both Biden and Trump.
