The festival has been welcoming to its Irish guests, with O’Brien noting, “The whole team were really good at making all of the Irish feel extremely welcome.” She found it particularly moving to hear American attendees speaking Irish, reinforcing the film’s significance in promoting the language.

To support her artistic journey, O’Brien recently launched a GoFundMe campaign aimed at raising funds for her tuition at the Oxford School of Drama. O’Brien traveled to California as part of a dedicated Irish contingent, which included the film’s director and writer. “It was absolutely fantastic and so amazing that they were able to support us to go over. It was a huge effort and we couldn’t do any of this without them,” O’Brien stated.
