Kilkenny Celebrates Two All-Stars in 2025 Hurling Awards
BREAKING: Kilkenny has secured two PwC All-Stars as the prestigious Hurling awards for 2025 are officially revealed. Huw Lawlor has achieved a remarkable milestone, claiming his third All-Star at full-back, while Mossy Keoghan earns his first All-Star recognition at corner-forward, making history as he joins his father, Liam Keoghan, as part of only the fifth father-son duo to achieve this honor.
This announcement, made just moments ago, is significant for the Kilkenny team as it underscores their ongoing excellence in the sport. Earlier this September, six Kilkenny players were nominated, including Mikey Carey (Young Ireland’s), Cian Kenny (James Stephens), Billy Ryan (Graigue Ballycallan), and TJ Reid (Shamrocks), showcasing the team’s depth and talent.
In a show of dominance, the All-Ireland champions, Tipperary, lead the All-Star selections with an impressive seven players named. This year’s awards feature a record-breaking 10 All-Star debutants, the highest number since the 2013 selections, signaling a new era in hurling talent.
The recognition of both Lawlor and Keoghan is a testament to their hard work and dedication on the field, and their achievements resonate deeply within the Kilkenny community, inspiring young athletes to strive for greatness.
Fans are encouraged to celebrate these achievements on social media and share in the pride of Kilkenny’s hurling legacy. As the team continues to evolve, all eyes will be on Kilkenny in the coming seasons to see how these All-Star selections impact their performance on the field.
Stay tuned for more updates on Kilkenny GAA and the latest in hurling news as the excitement unfolds.
