Kilkenny Celebrates Two All-Stars in 2025 Hurling Honors
Kilkenny has secured two prestigious spots on the 2025 PwC All-Stars for Hurling. Full-back Huw Lawlor earned his third All-Star selection, while corner-forward Mossy Keoghan received his first, marking a significant milestone as he joins his father, Liam Keoghan, in becoming one of the few father-son duos to achieve this honor.
The announcement, made on September 30, 2025, recognizes the outstanding performances of Kilkenny players throughout the season. In total, six players from Kilkenny received nominations: Mikey Carey (Young Ireland’s), Cian Kenny (James Stephens), Billy Ryan (Graigue Ballycallan), Mossy Keoghan (Tullaroan), Huw Lawlor (O’Loughlin Gaels), and TJ Reid (Shamrocks).
Tipperary Dominates with Record Selections
Leading the All-Star selections, Tipperary claimed an impressive seven spots on the team. This year’s All-Stars featured a remarkable ten debutants, the highest number since the 2013 selection. The recognition reflects the evolving landscape of hurling, showcasing emerging talent alongside seasoned players.
The accolades celebrate not only individual achievements but also the collective effort of teams throughout the season. Kilkenny, known for its rich hurling heritage, continues to demonstrate its competitive spirit and skill on the pitch.
The PwC All-Stars aim to recognize the best performers in hurling, and this year’s selections highlight the depth of talent across various teams.
