A fortunate player from Dublin has won a staggering €199,745 in the EuroMillions draw held on October 27, 2023. The winner successfully matched five numbers and one lucky star, purchasing their ticket at the XL gas station on Rush Main Street, Dublin, on the day of the draw.
The winning numbers from the draw were: 11, 21, 39, 40, 43, with the lucky stars being 2 and 8. Although no one won the EuroMillions jackpot, which was valued at €98,027,155, over 56,000 players in Ireland still secured various prizes in both the EuroMillions and Plus games. Emma Monaghan, spokesperson for the National Lottery, confirmed that one player matched five numbers and one lucky star, leading to the significant win.
The lucky winner is encouraged to sign the back of their ticket and keep it secure. They are advised to contact the National Lottery’s prize claims team at 1800 666 222 or email [email protected]. Arrangements will be made for them to collect their life-changing prize at Lottery Headquarters.
Recent Winning Streak in Dublin
This victory is part of an exciting week for lottery players in Dublin. Another player from Donnybrook won €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw on October 24, 2023. In addition, a player from Rathfarnham celebrated a remarkable win of €1 million in the Lotto Plus One draw on October 28, 2023, purchased at the Circle K Dodder on Rathfarnham Road.
The success stories highlight the potential for life-changing wins in the National Lottery. Since its establishment 37 years ago, the National Lottery has contributed over €6.5 billion to various good causes, including sport, education, and health. In 2024 alone, €239.3 million was raised for local causes across Ireland, showcasing the positive impact of lottery participation.
As the Dublin player prepares to claim their substantial winnings, the excitement around lottery participation in Ireland continues to grow, underscoring the thrill and hope that accompany such games of chance.
