IFI Announces €1 Million for Urgent River Restoration Projects

UPDATE: Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has just announced a groundbreaking initiative to allocate over €1 million for transformative river restoration projects across the country in 2026. Funding for these essential projects is generated through salmon and sea trout angling, commercial fishing licenses, and the sale of fishing permits. Eligible angling clubs, fishery owners, and other stakeholders are now invited to express their interest in applying for grants.
