EuroMillions Jackpot Hits €178.6 Million in France; 60,000+ Win in Ireland
UPDATE: In a stunning turn of events, a single EuroMillions ticket sold in France has won the staggering jackpot of €178,656,733. This life-altering sum was announced following the latest draw on Friday night, sending shockwaves through the lottery community.
While no one in Ireland secured the nine-figure prize, over 60,000 players in the country were fortunate enough to win smaller prizes across both the EuroMillions and Plus games. Notably, 10 Irish Only Raffle winners each received €5,000, adding to the excitement of the night.
The winning numbers for the EuroMillions main draw were: 5, 29, 33, 39, 42, with Lucky Stars 3 and 9. Although no one won the Plus top prize of €500,000, 69 players matched four numbers to claim €2,000 each, with winning numbers of 9, 27, 35, 38, and 46.
In addition to EuroMillions wins, Lotto players in Cork and Limerick celebrated significant victories this week. A Cork resident claimed the largest prize of the week, walking away with €1,000,000 from the Lotto Plus 1 draw on November 1. The winning ticket was purchased at Tesco in the Market Green Shopping Centre, Midleton.
“I always buy my ticket the day before the draw, and on this particular day, I was doing the school run – nothing out of the ordinary!” he exclaimed, reflecting on the unexpected windfall.
As the news of these wins spreads, it’s a reminder of the life-changing potential of the lottery. Players across the region are encouraged to check their tickets as excitement builds. The next draw promises further opportunities for luck, with millions still up for grabs.
Stay tuned for more updates as we track the impact of these huge wins and the anticipation building for future draws.
