This year’s fair is expected to attract up to 15,000 shoppers, making it a must-visit destination for festive gift seekers. The event is packed with entertainment for the entire family, ensuring that there’s something for everyone.

Kickstarting the festivities, Galway Bay FM broadcaster Ronan Lardner hosted a live show on Thursday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The excitement continues this weekend with the fair opening at 10:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday, featuring live performances by the Out of Towners from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and magic shows by Bernardo the Magician from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

On Monday, children will have the chance to meet Santa Claus, who will be available from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The fair wraps up on Tuesday with a special performance by the TLC Choir from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Organized annually by the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Galway, the fair showcases the best of Galway’s artisan producers. Caroline McDonagh, Head of Enterprise at LEO Galway, emphasized the variety of unique gifts and festive treats available, saying, “We have put together a really fantastic line-up of entertainment and exhibitors this year.”

In a move to enhance accessibility, 14 free bus routes will operate from various towns across Galway, facilitating easier access to the fair. Shoppers are encouraged to book their seats in advance to avoid disappointment by calling LEO at 091 509 090 or visiting www.localenterprise.ie/Galway/.
