Limerick Diocese Announces Urgent Pilgrimage to Lourdes in June 2026
UPDATE: The Diocese of Limerick has just announced its highly anticipated pilgrimage to Lourdes, set for June 2026, led by Bishop Brendan Leahy. This annual event is expected to draw numerous pilgrims seeking spiritual renewal and connection at one of the world’s most revered religious sites.
Pilgrims will have two options for their journey: a 5-night pilgrimage departing on June 19, 2026, or a 6-night pilgrimage leaving a day earlier, on June 18, 2026. Both trips will include direct flights from Shannon Airport to Lourdes, making it convenient for participants to embark on this spiritual journey.
A detailed itinerary has been crafted by Joe Walsh Tours, in collaboration with the Diocese. Activities at the Sanctuary will include visits to significant locations associated with Saint Bernadette, guided tours of the Grotto Domain, and opportunities to participate in the Blessing of the Sick, Blessed Sacrament, and the moving Torchlight Processions.
The pilgrimage offers a unique chance for individuals to deepen their faith and experience the communal spirit of prayer and reflection in a historic setting. This is an opportunity not to be missed!
For those interested in joining the pilgrimage, all bookings and inquiries should be directed to the Limerick Diocesan Centre at St Munchins, Corbally, Limerick, with the contact number 061-350000 or via email at [email protected]. More details can also be found on the Joe Walsh Tours website.
