Scorching Temperatures Hit Ireland Today, Showers to Follow

UPDATE: Ireland is bracing for a wave of scorching heat today, with temperatures soaring up to 28C and possibly 29C in some areas, as confirmed by Met Éireann. The warm weather is expected to linger throughout the week, but residents should prepare for intermittent showers.
Met Éireann has declared today, Tuesday, as a day of “very warm” conditions, promising sunny spells and high temperatures that may bring relief from the usual chill. Notably, while some isolated showers are likely, particularly in the southeast around Wexford, the overall forecast indicates a predominance of dry weather.
Weather expert Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather stated in a recent social media update, “Today is going to get up to 28C, possibly even 29C with good sunny spells. A small chance of a local shower kicking off, especially in the south east corner, but there is only a small chance.”
As we look ahead, the rest of the week promises to remain warm and humid. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:
Wednesday: The weather will start warm and humid, with sunny spells in the morning. However, showers and possible thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon, bringing temperatures between 21C to 25C.
Thursday: A mix of scattered showers will begin the day, but a shift to longer periods of sunshine is anticipated in the afternoon, with temperatures again reaching 21C to 25C.
Friday: The forecast suggests sunny spells with light showers that will ease through the day, allowing for extended sunshine later. Expect temperatures to be similar, ranging from 21C to 25C.
The weekend outlook indicates a continuation of warm conditions with temperatures generally in the low to mid-twenties, accompanied by light easterly breezes. Despite the pleasant weather, some showers may still occur.
As the sun shines over Ireland, it’s an excellent time for outdoor activities. Just remember to keep an eye on the sky as showers could make a surprise appearance. Stay tuned for updates as this developing weather situation unfolds.
