Ayrfield Homes Proposes 29 New Dwellings in Kilkenny City

Ayrfield Homes Ltd has submitted a planning application to Kilkenny County Council for the second phase of a residential development in Kilkenny City. The proposal, located on the Granges Road, outlines plans for the construction of 29 new residential dwellings.
The proposed development includes a diverse mix of housing options. Specifically, it features three Type C four-bedroom detached homes, nine Type D four-bedroom semi-detached units, and ten Type E three-bedroom semi-detached residences. Additionally, the plan incorporates two duplex buildings, which will offer a total of eight two-bedroom units—four on the ground floor and four on the first floor.
In conjunction with the housing units, the application includes essential infrastructure improvements. These will consist of a vehicular connection to the existing Phase one development, boundary treatments, and the establishment of public open spaces. Furthermore, the proposal outlines the provision of foul and surface water connections and disposal systems, along with all associated site works necessary for the project.
The application marks a significant step in addressing the housing needs of Kilkenny City, providing a variety of living options aimed at accommodating families and individuals alike. The initiative also aligns with broader efforts to enhance community infrastructure and support sustainable urban development in the region.
As the planning process unfolds, Kilkenny County Council will review the application, considering its potential impact on the local community and environment. The outcome will be pivotal in shaping the future residential landscape of Kilkenny City.
