Frosch Ireland Strengthens Portfolio with John Galligan Travel Acquisition

Cork-based corporate travel agency Frosch Ireland has officially acquired Dublin’s John Galligan Travel (JGT), a company known for its expertise in luxury cruises and polar expeditions. This acquisition marks a significant expansion for Frosch Ireland, which aims to enhance its offerings in the high-end travel sector.
Established in 2000 by Angela Walsh as Corporate Travel Management, Frosch Ireland became part of the international Frosch Group in 2018. The agency operates additional offices in Shannon, Dublin, and Tralee, and has been actively growing its presence through strategic acquisitions. In recent years, Frosch Ireland has added The Travel Broker in 2024 and Grogan Travel this year to its portfolio.
Commitment to Quality and Client Service
In discussing the acquisition, Angela Walsh, Managing Director of Frosch Ireland, expressed enthusiasm about the union. She stated, “John Galligan Travel is a name synonymous with quality, integrity, and trust in the travel sector. We are proud to welcome John and his outstanding team to the Frosch family. This acquisition represents more than growth; it is a union built on shared values and a deep commitment to exceptional client service.”
John Galligan, founder of JGT, will remain involved with the business for the next year to ensure a smooth transition. Galligan emphasized the advantages of joining Frosch Ireland, noting, “I am confident that with Frosch’s resources and global partnerships, our clients will enjoy even greater choice and experiences while still receiving the same personal service they value.”
The acquisition not only enhances Frosch Ireland’s capabilities but also signifies a broader trend in the travel industry, where companies are increasingly merging to provide comprehensive services in a competitive market. The integration of JGT’s specialized knowledge in luxury and expedition travel is expected to attract a new clientele and enhance the overall service offering of Frosch Ireland.
As the travel landscape continues to evolve, Frosch Ireland’s strategic acquisitions position the company for sustained growth and innovation in delivering exceptional travel experiences.
