National Lottery officials have confirmed that they have already sent notifications and emails to the Sligo winner, advising them to check their apps for further instructions. Friday’s EuroMillions draw featured a special Ireland Only raffle event, ensuring that one lucky player would take home a staggering prize of €1,005,000. In addition to the Sligo winner, nine other players also won €5,000 each in the same raffle. This victory has made the Sligo player the 16th National Lottery millionaire of the year.
In another highlight from the evening, a player from Louth won €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw. This player matched all five numbers, securing a substantial win. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on July 26, 2025, at Applegreen on Old Newry Road in Dundalk, Co Louth. The winning numbers for the EuroMillions Plus draw were 4, 5, 15, 16, and 40.
Despite the excitement surrounding these wins, the EuroMillions jackpot remains unclaimed, currently standing at an impressive €166,241,768. In total, over 67,000 players won prizes across both the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws, underscoring the widespread popularity of the game.
