Irish Player Wins €405,711 in EuroMillions Lottery Draw
A lucky player in Ireland has marked a significant win in the latest EuroMillions draw, securing a prize of €405,711. Although the staggering jackpot of €75,635,350 went unclaimed, one ticket holder matched all five main numbers along with one of the two Lucky Stars, changing their financial outlook dramatically.
The winning numbers for the draw held on March 15, 2024, were 5, 14, 38, 43, 45, with Lucky Stars 7 and 11. The National Lottery has urged participants to carefully check their tickets, revealing that the winning ticket was purchased in Co Waterford.
Celebrating Multiple Wins
The excitement in Ireland did not stop with the major win. Another player matched all five main numbers, earning a respectable €31,607. Additionally, in the EuroMillions Plus draw, the top prize was not claimed; however, 46 players each matched four of the five winning numbers and will take home €2,000 each.
In the Ireland-only raffle, ten lucky players also won €5,000 apiece. These victories contributed to over 47,000 players in Ireland who shared in the winnings from the EuroMillions and Plus games.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery stated, “There was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot. In total, over 47,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games, including one winner of the match 5 + one Lucky Star receiving €405,711. The winning ticket was sold in Waterford.”
The winning numbers for the EuroMillions Plus draw were 14, 15, 25, 40, and 47. Furthermore, details of the Ireland-only Raffle numbers were also announced, emphasizing the numerous wins across the nation.
As the excitement continues, players are encouraged to remain vigilant and check their tickets, as even smaller wins can provide substantial financial benefits.
