Irish Player Wins Historic €20,000 Monthly Prize for 30 Years

A fortunate player in Ireland has become the country’s first winner of the EuroDreams top prize, securing a remarkable €20,000 every month for the next 30 years. This significant victory, announced following the draw on September 8, 2023, will total approximately €7.2 million over the duration of the payments.
The winning numbers from the draw were 1, 3, 5, 11, 20, 31, with the Dream number being 5. The National Lottery is set to reveal the location of the ticket sale in the coming days, prompting all players to check their tickets in the hope of joining this extraordinary win.
Darragh O’Dwyer, a spokesperson for the National Lottery, described the moment as “a phenomenal night for Irish EuroDreams players” and emphasized the historic nature of this win. He stated, “To have our very first EuroDreams top prize winner is truly historic; €20,000 a month for 30 years is a life-changing prize!”
In addition to the top prize, a second player also celebrated a win during the same draw. This individual matched all six numbers to claim the tier two prize, which provides €2,000 each month for five years, amounting to roughly €120,000 in total.
The EuroDreams game, which launched in Ireland in 2023, offers an annuity top prize that is paid out in monthly, tax-free installments. The excitement surrounding the game has been amplified by its availability in eight countries, including Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland. Draws occur bi-weekly on Monday and Thursday evenings.
With the announcement of these significant wins, the National Lottery encourages all participants to review their tickets, as they could also be among the latest big winners in Ireland. The success of this draw marks a pivotal moment not only for the players but also for the EuroDreams initiative, which aims to bring life-changing opportunities to its participants across various nations.
