ISME Introduces €2,000 Consultancy Support for Small Businesses

The Irish SME Association (ISME) has launched a new initiative aimed at supporting small businesses across Ireland. The STAGES Mentoring Programme offers members access to business consultancy services valued at up to €2,000. This program is designed to assist businesses in navigating the complexities of their development journeys.
Tailored Support for Business Growth
Delivered through ISME Skillnet, the STAGES programme provides fully subsidised one-on-one mentoring. This initiative targets various stages of business development, offering expert-led sessions tailored to meet specific goals. Participants can engage in up to two full days, or four half-days, of mentoring with experienced business advisors.
The program covers a broad spectrum of strategic and operational areas. Key focus areas include cash flow management, digital transformation, export readiness, and succession planning, among others. This comprehensive approach is designed to equip small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the tools needed to thrive in a competitive environment.
Empowering SMEs for Sustainable Success
According to Neil McDonnell, the Chief Executive of ISME, small businesses play a crucial role in the Irish economy. He emphasized the importance of access to expert advice, stating, “Small businesses are the engine of the Irish economy, but they often lack access to the expert advice they need to grow and compete.” McDonnell highlighted that the STAGES programme aims to provide this essential support, whether businesses are recovering from challenges, expanding into export markets, or preparing for significant growth.
This initiative reflects ISME’s commitment to fostering a resilient business community in Ireland. By addressing real-world challenges and providing tailored mentorship, the STAGES Mentoring Programme seeks to empower SMEs to achieve their growth ambitions.
The official launch of the STAGES programme marks a significant step forward in supporting the small business sector. With the subsidy of up to €2,000, ISME members can now access vital resources that can enhance their operational capabilities and strategic planning.
As the global business landscape continues to evolve, initiatives like the STAGES Mentoring Programme play an essential role in ensuring that small businesses can adapt and thrive. Through targeted support and expert guidance, ISME aims to bolster the competitiveness and sustainability of SMEs in Ireland.
