Sligo Player Becomes New Millionaire with €1M EuroMillions Win
An Irish player in Sligo has become a millionaire after winning €1,005,000 in the EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle held on July 19, 2025. The ticket was purchased online, and the winning raffle number was I-SLF-56168. This victory marks the individual as the 16th millionaire created by the National Lottery in 2025.
The National Lottery has confirmed that notifications were sent to the winner via both app and email, advising them to contact the prize claims team at 1800 666 222 or through [email protected] to arrange the collection of their prize.
Exciting Wins Across Ireland
The EuroMillions draw on Friday night featured a special Ireland Only raffle event, which guaranteed one player would win the impressive €1,005,000. In addition to the Sligo win, nine other players each secured €5,000 from the same raffle, adding to the excitement of the evening.
Additionally, a player from Louth achieved a significant win in the EuroMillions Plus draw, taking home €500,000 after matching all five numbers. The winning ticket was purchased on July 26, 2025, at Applegreen on Old Newry Road, Dundalk. The winning numbers for the EuroMillions Plus draw were 4, 5, 15, 16, and 40.
Record Night for the National Lottery
In total, over 67,000 players won prizes during the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws on Friday night. According to National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer, the night was one of celebration for players across Ireland.
“What a night for our players! We’ve got a brand-new millionaire in Sligo thanks to the Ireland Only Raffle, and a brilliant €500,000 win in Louth from the EuroMillions Plus draw,” O’Dwyer stated. “That’s €1.5 million in top tier prizes heading to two counties in one night! We’re absolutely thrilled and can’t wait to meet our latest winners including Ireland’s newest millionaire!”
Despite the excitement, there was no winner for the EuroMillions jackpot, which remains at an impressive €166,241,768, continuing to entice players for future draws. The latest wins highlight the ongoing popularity and impact of the EuroMillions game in Ireland and beyond.
