Søstrene Grene Expands: New Store Set to Open in Derry

Søstrene Grene is set to open a new store in the Richmond Centre, Derry, this autumn, further expanding its presence in Northern Ireland. This location follows the successful launch of the Craigavon store last year, highlighting the brand’s commitment to bringing Scandinavian design to local shoppers.
The Derry store will showcase a carefully curated assortment of homewares, kitchen accessories, craft supplies, soft furnishings, and seasonal décor. Each product reflects the brand’s distinctive Scandinavian aesthetic, designed to enhance both style and functionality in everyday living.
Mikkel Grene, Group CEO and Co-owner of Søstrene Grene, expressed enthusiasm about the new opening. “We see great potential for Søstrene Grene in Northern Ireland and we are very pleased to be opening our newest store in Derry,” he stated. Grene noted the positive response from customers at existing locations, emphasizing their appreciation for the brand’s unique style and the comforting concept of hygge that is central to its identity.
Creating a Welcoming Shopping Experience
Søstrene Grene aims to provide a relaxed shopping atmosphere in Derry. The store will feature the brand’s signature labyrinth-style layout, complemented by soft lighting and classical music, creating a serene environment for shoppers. The design philosophy aligns with the Danish concept of hygge, encouraging customers to explore the store at their own pace and discover products that bring comfort and joy into their homes.
Richard Power, a representative for Søstrene Grene, added, “We’re excited to open in Derry and bring Søstrene Grene’s Scandinavian designs closer to the local community.” He highlighted that the stores offer thoughtfully designed homewares at affordable prices, making it easier for everyone to incorporate a touch of style into their living spaces.
Søstrene Grene operates over 350 stores across 17 countries and continues to pursue an aggressive expansion strategy. The brand plans to open an additional 100 new stores across the UK by 2027, reflecting its confidence in the growing demand for Scandinavian-inspired home products.
The official launch date for the Derry location will be announced soon. For more information about the brand and its offerings, visit the official website at [Søstrene Grene](https://sostrenegrene.com) or follow them on Instagram at @sostrenegrene.
