Urgent Recall of Toxic Finger-Painting Kit Sold on Amazon

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued an urgent warning regarding a finger-painting kit sold on Amazon. TheKiddoSpace Finger Painting Kit for Kids, marketed to parents in the Republic of Ireland, is being recalled due to the presence of toxic substances. Approximately 149 kits were sold, raising concerns about potential health risks for children.
According to the CCPC, the kit contains chemicals that may prove hazardous if ingested or absorbed through the skin. Parents are advised to discontinue use immediately and dispose of the product safely. The recall affects purchases made online through both TheKiddoSpace UK and Amazon platforms.
Customers who wish to receive a refund or a voucher equivalent to their original purchase can contact TheKiddoSpace directly at [email protected]. Those who bought the kit via Amazon are encouraged to check their user accounts for potential remedies.
Additional Recall Notice for Children’s Clothing
In a related development, the CCPC has also announced a recall for several children’s clothing items sold by Jainco UK Limited on the Next Retail Limited website. The affected products include various dresses and outfits identified as posing a strangulation hazard due to excessively long decorative cords that do not meet safety standards.
The items affected are part of the Miss brand and include specific item numbers: F83773, F83782, F83775, F83781, and F85623. Approximately 11 products are involved in this recall, which impacts consumers in the Republic of Ireland.
Parents are urged to stop using these products immediately and keep them away from children. If any of these items have been given as gifts, recipients should also be informed to dispose of them safely.
As safety remains a top priority for parents, the CCPC continues to monitor and address potential risks associated with consumer products in the market.
